9. Land of Wrigley – Stormy Weather
Stormy Weather came together in Gary/Hammond, Indiana and hit the Chicago-area
concert circuit with their doo-wop style songs in 1974. Since then, they have
worked with such stars as Smokey Robinson, Carl Perkins, the Pointer Sisters,
Bill Cosby, Frankie Valli, Dion, Kenny Rogers and many more. The group was one
of only 350 groups in the past 50 years to be selected for a major feature in
the Billboard Book of American Singing Groups and has appeared at the White
House for special Christmas and Easter presentations four separate times. Using
a soothing, four- part a cappella and their signature doo-wop sound, “Land of
Wrigley” by Stormy Weather captures the carefree spirit of Wrigley Field.
